Drive innovation and implement technological solutions to accelerate the transition to clean energy and sustainable energy resources, with guidance and direction from the key stakeholders.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Drive and lead cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement innovative technical solutions that address decarbonization challenges in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, and effectively integrate it into MISC’s business goals and direction.
Strategically collaborate with researchers, policymakers, business development, and operations to define and execute a comprehensive roadmap for New Energy solutions to drive long-term sustainability and competitive advantage for MISC.
Determine the appropriate manpower requirements for various solutions disciplines and manage the engineering and design resources efficiently throughout the project duration (bidding / proposal) to ensure timely delivery and optimal project outcomes.
Facilitate cross-functional design reviews involving technical teams for efficient decision-making to ensure alignment, reduce risks, and enhance the quality and feasibility of project solutions.
Manage change (MOC) and approve design changes throughout all engineering phases, and approve design philosophies, basis of design, functional specifications and SOW for MSQ / RFQ of engineering services to ensure alignment with business objectives and successful project delivery.
Ensure compliance, competitive and safe engineering solutions that meet relevant requirements to achieve regulatory approval, market competitiveness, and operational safety.
Establish and maintain close working relationships with all key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure clear communication throughout project lifecycles.
Provide technical guidance and develop strategies to facilitate continuous development of engineering project management team capability in order to provide the best engineering solutions for floater design.
JOB REQUIREMENT :
Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
Preference : Professional or Chartered Engineer with recognized professional body.
Minimum 15 - 20 years of relevant work experience with at least 5 years in the capacity of Senior Manager or Technical Project Lead level with diverse exposure in shipping, maritime, offshore, engineering / construction or heavy engineering industry.
Deep knowledge of concepts, principles and practices in energy transition, decarbonization, shipping, maritime, offshore or heavy engineering project value chains.
