PURPOSE

Responsible to maintain and enhance the FWD Centralised IFRS17 CSM models independently and ensure compliance with the Group Model Governance policy as well as support the Actuarial initiatives / projects independently as required by Group Actuarial / business units ("BUs")

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Provide guidance to junior team members in their daily tasks

2. Support the development and maintenance of the FWD Centralised IFRS17 CSM model by / through :

  • independently performing the development and maintenance of the FWD Centralised IFRS17 CSM model for all business units, and ensure quality and on-time work delivery;
  • provide trouble-shooting support to the IFRS17 CSM Operation team, Alteryx team, BUs and GO Actuarial during result production
  • demonstrating an in-depth skills in the Model design, build, coding and testing and effectively apply the skills throughout the development, execution and improvement of modelling process;
  • working in close collaboration with Group Actuarial and business units to deliver requests within the agreed scope and provide regular progress update;
  • exercising judgement using established practices and skills to perform checking and regression tests, define and communicate change impacts and mitigation actions, as well as maintain documentations for key stakeholders;
  • escalating issues or findings to the IFRS17 CSM Development Lead or manager on a timely manner; and
  • Ensuring all work is carried in accordance to Group policies and and controls

3. Propose improvements to the Centralized IFRS 17 CSM model and processes and discuss feasibility with manager and IFRS 17 CSM Development Lead

4. Contribute as an experienced project resource in supporting the Actuarial project / initiative from Group Actuarial or business units

  • QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • 3 to 5 years insurance experience in actuarial functions is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Actuarial Science or other Mathematics / Statistics based major
  • Good progress in internationally recognised actuarial professional examinations
  • KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Good Prophet modelling and coding skills
  • Good understanding of Actuarial valuation processes, and IFRS17 are preferred
