Material Planner – Henkel, Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Malaysia
About this Position
Ensures that the right materials are available at the right time, with the right quantity and at the right cost to support production schedules and meet customer demands. Develops and maintains material plans that consider demand forecasts, production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier lead times. Reviews material inventories to limit slow movers and obsolescence.
What You'll Do
- Reporting to the Material Planning Head, the Material Planner supports Henkel material planning agenda and drives initiatives in the region.
- Maintain good connection and collaboration with material suppliers.
- Translate the production plan into a mid‑long term Material Requirements Plan, ensuring availability of production material under the consideration of forecasts.
- Ensure correct ordering of material supply in terms of quantity and time while optimising order size and minimising obsoletes.
- Maintain the time and quantity MRP parameters, aggregate cross‑category requirements and act on any MRP exceptions in accordance with the production plan / finite schedule.
- Collaborate with suppliers and conduct Rough Cut Capacity Planning for all material requirements versus qualified sources of supply to support the production plan at an effective cost.
- Support material inventory analysis by reviewing.
- Identify material sourcing risks or opportunities and escalates issues to the appropriate parties (internal and external).
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning performance.
What Makes You a Good Fit
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, BA or equivalent.5‑8 years of experience in Supply Chain.Operational experience in Material Planning / supply planning.Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Kinaxis, OMP, o9 or similar.Proven success in operational excellence and continuous improvement.Strong communication skills, collaboration and hands‑on experience.English and Thai speaking; the role will manage the material production plan remotely from Malaysia.Experienced in material planning, system knowledge – SAP NAP, Excel skills.Industries to target : Manufacturing, FMCG (P&G, Unilever) – manage haircare products, colour.Provide one‑time relocation support.Build a AP regional planning hub in Malaysia; all teams will be based in Malaysia supporting other countries.First 3‑6 months frequent travel.Some Perks of Joining Henkel
