Position Title

Senior Officer, Group Desk

Report To

Manager, Sales Tool & Automation

Position Summary

The Senior Officer, Group Desk will provide airline customers with accurate information on the airline’s products and services to drive sales and support effective sales operations. This role involves handling flight bookings, reservations, and related customer inquiries in support of Malaysia Airlines’ Group Desk functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with flight booking and reservation matters using the Amadeus Altea or Navitaire SkySpeed system.
  • Follow up and coordinate the delivery of airline products and services to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure all provided information and performed transactions comply strictly with airline Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Process ad-hoc requests from other departments.
  • Handle various requests and issues received via email from other departments or stations.
  • Monitor time limits, payment reminders, Agency Debit Memos (ADM), sales portal registrations, and emails.
  • Provide first-level support for Helpdesk inquiries.
  • Escalate and highlight any technical issues related to the sales portal.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification : SPM / SPMV. A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field is often preferred.
  • At least 2 years of working experience, preferably in ticketing and sales.

    Experience in a related field is preferred.

  • Proficient in Amadeus or Navitaire reservation and ticketing systems
  • Strong problem-solving and facilitation skills
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office; IT literate
  • Good interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work under pressure
