Shift Lead Engineer (A4 Chargeman)
Responsible to attend and complete the service request assigned and provide coordination and monitoring in preventive and reactive maintenance work in HV / LV infrastructure. Supported in adhoc minor project activities.
Responsibilities
- Managing / coordinating service provider performance including tracking work order completion and validating invoices as needed; provide facility‑specific assistance to the project management team as requested.
- Ensuring all site management and operations practices comply with company and client standards.
- Communicating / escalating with appropriate parties (facility manager, client, OEM vendors, etc.) as needed.
- Working with the Service Center to keep average turnaround time (TAT) within agreed KPI thresholds.
- Creating a weekly report for the Info Systems Project Management team to review incidents and determine potential operational losses.
- Cultivating and maintaining a positive working relationship with client representatives (JLL or external) and service providers.
- Overseeing and monitoring work order completion; following up with service provider and client.
- Recommending continuous quality improvement practices across the client portfolio.
- Assisting the client Finance group and Facility Managers in entering, creating, and ordering PO numbers for capital projects.
- Creating recurring maintenance schedules for vendors and supporting the Facilities Manager with assigning tasks to technical resources.
- Arranging PPM contractors to submit JHA, worker name lists, and confirming dates; sourcing required materials; requesting permits and supporting documents from contractors before scheduling work.
- Checking safety induction validity for contractors; coordinating communication and relationship management.
- Managing HSE compliance to ensure a safe working environment; conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHA); working closely with the HSE Executive on planning, executing, and delivering HSE procedures.
- Providing overall facility management services, including continuous monitoring of office / facility operations.
- Acting as an interface with client, visitors, and guests; ensuring appropriate follow‑up with customers.
- Providing direction and information to vendors, facilities staff, and service providers to achieve excellent coordination and execution of work within the client environment with minimal disruption.
- Assisting with budgetary requests, analysis, and reporting; researching, analysing, and reporting budget variances.
- Coordinating portfolio and responsibility changes with the data management team to update the location service matrix.
- Training vendors / engineers on applicable software platforms (e.g., CMMS).
- Coordinating electrical distribution (Low Voltage) work – Senior Technician.
- Performing any and all duties / tasks as assigned.
- Responsible for space planning, including allocation, utilisation, and re‑organisation of premises; plotting and updating floor layout plans on AutoCAD.
- Arranging and monitoring contractor permits and the PTW process.
Qualifications
Diploma in Engineering or A4 Chargeman Certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.Registered Electrical Worker or equivalent.3–4 years of relevant experience in engineering or construction services.1–2 years’ experience operating electrical and mechanical services in a Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.Experience in a critical environment of similar size or operation.Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and report preparation.Seniority Level
