Validation Engineer

Overview

Talent Acquisition Specialist - ThunderSoft focused on PCIe hardware debugging. This role involves working on the finalized silicon (post-silicon) and using debug tools and methodologies to troubleshoot and resolve issues found in PCIe controllers and associated systems.

The primary focus is on the PCI Express interface, a high-speed serial expansion bus standard used in many computer components. This includes identifying and fixing problems related to PCIe link training, data transfer, power management (such as Active-State Power Management or ASPM), and hot-plugging.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing test plans for PCIe features.
• Using debug tools like logic analyzers and oscilloscopes to capture and analyze PCIe traffic.
• Root-causing issues, which involves tracing problems back to their origin in the hardware design.
• Collaborating with design and firmware teams to resolve issues.
• Ensuring PCIe compliance with industry standards.
