Job Descriptions :
1. Maintain equipment and systems
- Establish plans, guiding procedures, and parameters for equipment and systems testing and repair.
- Develop maintenance and spare parts plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all equipment and systems.
- Analyze testing, maintenance and repair records to identify trends, potential malfunctions and solutions applied.
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment and system failures and malfunctions.
- Facilitate the Master Preventive Maintenance plan (PVM) for the manufacturing facility.
- Outline cleaning procedures and cleanliness standards to be adhered to following maintenance and repair works.
- Review equipment conditions and non-destructive testing data to support schedule for maintenance activities.
- Assign responsibilities and resources for inspection, testing, repair and predictive maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Interface with procurement team and vendors to align lead time with planned maintenance work activities.
- Outline housekeeping procedures and standards to be adhered to for maintenance and repair works.
- Recommend repair works and solutions to address equipment and system failures according to Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
2. Innovate equipment, systems and controls
Review performance of automated equipment and systems to identify modifications required.Install and calibrate automated equipment and system components.Troubleshoot system bugs or malfunctions of automated equipment and systems.Conduct feasibility assessments for new automated equipment, systems and controls.3. Manage energy resources and utilities
Evaluate energy resources and utilities usage requirements for the section.Establish requirements for energy resources and utilities supply and operational standards.Develop technical guidelines to resolve disruptions to energy resources and utilities supply.Analyze data to identify areas where energy efficiency can be optimized.Develop solutions to optimize machine availability while managing energy resources and utilities4. Provide technical guidance and directions on the installations and assembly of new equipment.Check that installations and assembly documentations and records are aligned with engineering plans.Perform feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis on the introduction of new equipment.Verify that all installations and assembly works conform to technical specifications.Develop technical installation, assembly, integration and engineering plans for equipment and systems.Recommend equipment to be installed5. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering or any related field.Hands-on experience with kiln, sorting, polishing equipment, or LGV (Laser Guided Vehicles) is an added advantage.Strong knowledge in mechanical systems, automation process control, robotics, and condition monitoring.Skilled in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment failures.Familiar with preventive maintenance planning, SOP creation, and predictive maintenance tools.Proficiency in computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), process optimization, and data analytics for equipment performance monitoring.Ability to plan and execute equipment installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning.Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities under pressure.Good interpersonal and multi-level communication skills.Adaptable, proactive, and a team leader capable of supervising technicians.
