Academic Trainee (AT9) – Department of Computer Science at International Islamic University Malaysia. This role involves teaching, curriculum development, research, and community engagement to deliver an outstanding educational experience to students in the CS program.
Responsibilities
- As a CS Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of the next generation of CS professionals. Your responsibilities will span across teaching, curriculum development, research, and community engagement, aiming to deliver an outstanding educational experience.
- The candidates shall be a member of the staff of the Department of Computer Science (DCS) assigned by KICT and shall perform teaching, examining, and research duties and such other obligations as are normally required of an academic staff member of IIUM.
- The candidates should undertake moral and religious obligations in relation to colleagues and students as part of duties as a member of IIUM.
- As a lecturer and member of the academic staff, the candidate is required to attend meetings related to administrative positions they may hold, as mandated by IIUM appointments or directives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from a recognized university.Master’s in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized university.Must be a Malaysian citizen.Proven teaching and research experience in a higher education setting is an added advantage.A blend of strong academic qualifications, teaching abilities, and research skills.Demonstrated ability to deliver effective education and engage students.Strong foundation and knowledge in computing.Areas of knowledge include : Algorithm Design and Analysis; Artificial Intelligence (AI); Computer Networks; Machine Learning; Natural Language Processing (NLP); Computer Vision; Robotics and System Agents; Wireless Networking; Network Security; Parallel and Distributed Computing; Web and Mobile Computing; Digital Forensics; Cloud Security; Penetration Testing; Neural Networks and Deep Learning; Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs); Semi-supervised, Unsupervised Learning and Representation Learning.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.A strong track record of published research and active participation in the academic community is highly desirable.Job Benefits
