Responsibilities
Formulate and implement the company’s financial strategies to align with its overall business objectives.
Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board on long-term financial planning and potential investment opportunities.
Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) initiatives to enhance business growth and profitability.
Manage and optimize cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure smooth execution of operations and projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other financial institutions.
Obtain project financing and efficiently manage the company’s debt structures.
Supervise budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards (such as MFRS and IFRS).
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee the timely completion of tax filings, audit requirements, and all statutory compliance obligations.
Identify potential financial and operational risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Implement robust internal controls and policies to protect the company’s assets.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory, legal, and corporate governance requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to monitor project costs, profit margins, and billing cycles.
Evaluate and authorize major contracts, procurement activities, and supplier payments.
Lead or contribute to ERP implementation and digital transformation initiatives within finance and accounting functions.
Supervise, guide, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to support business operations and promote financial discipline.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Banking, with a recognized professional qualification (such as MIA membership, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) required.
At least 15 years of progressive experience in financial leadership, including a minimum of 8 years in a senior finance position within the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of construction project accounting, cost management, and contract administration.
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Proven leadership experience in developing and managing high-performing finance teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong capability to turn data insights into actionable strategies.
Exceptional skills in relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong integrity, keen attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Resilient and proactive, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
