Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax function for Malaysia. This role will be pivotal in managing and overseeing all tax compliance, planning, and strategy for our operations in Malaysia, ensuring alignment with local regulations and global tax policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of all Malaysian tax returns, including corporate income tax, transaction tax such as sales and service tax and withholding tax etc. and international tax matters.
• Preparation and review of tax provisions and deferred tax calculations, ensuring accurate financial reporting of tax liabilities.
• Oversee and manage the planning of income tax exemptions. Monitor the implementation of investment projects and company business activities to ensure compliance with the conditions and commitments of the Malaysia income tax exemption, providing periodic updates to the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).
• Manage and oversee the planning and application of indirect tax exemptions, including SST compliance and exemptions application. To supervise and keep clear and organized sales tax in / out for manufacturing activities and inventory purchase and disposition. Report on Sales tax monthly to tax authorities and track on sale tax refund.
• Lead e-invoice implementation project. Collaborate with external consultants and internal departments to plan and implement the e-invoice system, ensuring compliance with Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) requirements.
• Provide tax advice and guidance on business transactions, investments, and new projects in Malaysia.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize our tax position in Malaysia, including advising on efficient tax structures and transactions.
