Overview

The incumbent will be responsible on all tax matters, and will build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management and cross functional regional resources, the global tax unit, and third party advisors. Responsibilities

Developing and implementing strategies to minimize the company's tax liability and identify tax savings opportunities. Building and maintaining relationships with external tax authorities, government agencies, and external tax advisors to resolve issues and negotiate. Identifying and managing tax risks and opportunities. Initiating, managing, and supporting implementation of processes and procedures that continuously improve the tax position of the APAC businesses. Supporting corporate income tax and indirect tax compliance processes, as needed. Conducting research on tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and providing expert tax guidance to business units and senior management. Providing tax trainings and awareness within the APAC organization on relevant tax topics. Participating in projects to ensure correct tax treatment (e.g. acquisitions, dispositions, and business restructurings). Developing and maintaining relationships with external advisors and managing corresponding budget. Supporting internal and external tax audits. Reviewing and maintaining commitments and metrics included in tax incentive packages granted by various government authorities to ensure compliance. Continuously monitoring and assessing the relevance of changes in tax legislation and regulations. Proactively advising and supporting the APAC businesses on tax aspects of business decisions and initiatives. Other projects, as directed by the superior Education / Certifications

A bachelor’s or advanced degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance or related discipline required An advanced tax degree preferred Basic Qualifications

Seven plus years of relevant tax experience in a large, multi-national corporate tax, accounting or law firm environment Good income tax planning knowledge in the APAC region Good understanding of corporate income tax and indirect tax compliance requirements in the APAC region Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability and desire to communicate, collaborate and coordinate with others throughout the tax and finance organizations Strong written and verbal communication skills Good business judgement and creative problem-solving skills Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines Ability to identify and implement continuous process improvements An understanding of the impact of income taxes on financial statements Seniority level
