6653 - SMT Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

• Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot SMT equipment : SPI, AOI, reflow oven profiling, pick-and-place / mounter systems
• Perform defect analysis (tombstoning, solder bridging, cold joints) and drive CAPA
• Conduct and maintain reflow oven thermal profiles for different PCB assemblies
• Coordinate with suppliers and tooling engineers on stencil and fixture development
• Manage and optimize PTH processes : robotic soldering, selective wave soldering, conventional wave soldering
• Define and validate through-hole soldering parameters according to IPC-A-610
• Execute IOPQ for new equipment and manufacturing lines
• Develop and maintain APQP documentation
• Ensure compliance with IPC standards, ESD controls, and traceability systems
• Implement and follow up on corrective actions after audits
• Support NPI with DFM reviews and process integration
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen activities to improve cost, yield, and efficiency
• Analyse production metrics using SPC and lead improvement projects
• Perform root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC
