Senior Compliance Assurance Specialist — Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Join Swift’s Compliance team to help shape and implement compliance capabilities that are fit for purpose, robust, scalable, and embedded across the organization, with a focus on governance, risk and controls. This is a hands-on role with high visibility, offering the opportunity to work at the heart of Swift’s compliance transformation and to interact with stakeholders across the organization. What to Expect

This role involves conducting and coordinating compliance risk assessments, monitoring control performance, and ensuring senior management and governance bodies have a clear view of compliance risk and maturity. You will contribute to building and maturing Swift’s compliance assurance and reporting capabilities and drive the team’s core mission : providing a structured, independent view of the effectiveness of compliance controls through evidence-based assessments, structured reporting, and follow-up on gaps. You will also engage with other lines of defense to ensure alignment and coverage. Responsibilities

Maintain a repository of compliance controls and related information (risks, evidence, issues, owners, actions, assurance status) Lead and support compliance risk assessments across domains; identify control gaps and risk exposures Assess design and effectiveness of compliance controls and track remediation actions Maintain structured documentation of risks, controls, owners, actions, and assurance status Contribute to the development and maintenance of an Assurance Map across the Compliance team Deliver compliance assurance reporting to management and governance bodies Support development, tracking and improvement of compliance metrics to assess success and risk Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd line functions to ensure alignment and coverage Participate in cross-functional compliance reviews and projects as needed Act as a point of contact for assurance-related queries and regulatory evidence requests Contribute to the maturity and consistency of Swift’s internal compliance assurance practices What Will Make You Successful

Minimum 7 years of experience in compliance, internal audit, risk management, or similar roles Strong experience in governance, risk, and control (GRC), compliance assurance, or regulatory reporting Professional English language skills Self-starter with a structured, process-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently Experience with regulatory frameworks, risk indicators, and implementing compliance controls High integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information Experience operating at various levels within the organization and with external vendors Experience in multicultural and international environments Organised, with a continuous improvement mindset and high-quality deliverables Inclusive, collaborative, delivery-focused with strong stakeholder management skills Operational excellence and project management experience; ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills Familiarity with reporting to governance bodies and authorities Ability to work with limited supervision and demonstrate independence of judgement Process-driven mindset; ability to design and apply procedures in day-to-day activities Comfort with using digital tools and databases to manage control and risk information Optional
