Food & Beverage Manager - Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara

This role reports to the hotel General Manager. It is a dual responsibility position overseeing both the culinary department and the food and beverage service department. Hyatt House hotels are part of the Hyatt Hotels portfolio in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

Lead and operate the restaurant, events space and pool bar to ensure they operate successfully in accordance with Hyatt standards and are individually profitable.

Be hands-on and ready to lend expertise within other departments of the hotel; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Communicate and negotiate at all levels; maintain high service standards; problem-solve with employees and guests.

Drive concepts and initiatives with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for great food and service.

Lead from the front and demonstrate key traits such as passion for people, creativity, speed in task completion, and commercially sound decision making.

Utilize digital and social media to drive customer engagement and traffic capture.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years or more of work experience as a manager in a restaurant with team leadership responsibilities.

Proven results in coaching and leading junior staff to achieve team success; demonstrated experience operating a restaurant with revenue and profitability growth.

Good understanding of restaurant service; ability to lead restaurant staff and kitchen assistants to maintain service standards.

Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen and restaurant hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards; Halal Kitchen and HACCP experience is a plus.

Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; computer skills in MS Office and recipe maintenance systems.

Strong leadership presence with a readiness to be hands-on and lead from the front.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
