Job description

Responsibilities

Oversee the engineering department, including costing review, design review, process engineering, machine maintenance and technical support.
Lead and mentor the team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

Project Oversight

Plan and manage engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.

Process and Product Development

Guide product development processes, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with specifications.

Optimize workflows for sheet metal fabrication and machining to improve productivity.

Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Drive quality improvements through innovative engineering practices.

Compliance and Standards

Ensure adherence to industry standards, including ISO 9001 and other relevant certifications.

Monitor and enforce safety regulations within the department.

Requirements

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

Experience : 8+ years in engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the sheet metal or machining industry (CNC milling, lathe, stamping, cold heading, screw threading processes).

Proficiency in SolidWorks / UG, CAD / CAM software and GD&T.

Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

In-depth understanding of precision machining and fabrication techniques.

Proficiency in Mandarin is required as the role involves frequent collaboration with stakeholders based in China.
