Overview

Follow established engineering principles to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organization's standards of quality and cost.

Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepare operation sheets.

Analyze existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.

The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepare operation sheets.
  • Analyze existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Science. Preferably, candidates with degrees in Materials, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant working experience in process engineering or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in the analysis of manufacturing data, including the collection of processing data and the ability to create graphical representations of historical data.
  • Lead and support comprehensive activities related to Process Validation and Documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stabilize and optimize key production processes to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and overall output while effectively reducing waste and variability.
  • Ability to lead project change control initiatives to ensure smooth and quality production operations.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects to establish strong partnerships across departments, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of operations and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma DMAIC methodologies is essential.
  • Experience in designing routines and best practices to ensure product quality, including quality and yield improvements as well as drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality enhancement.
  • Possessing experience in the medical or healthcare industry is an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing non-conformance reports (NCR) and handling customer complaints.
  • Experience in process implementation and delivering training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is a valuable asset and can significantly enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Requires a full working knowledge of a technical field. Exercises general application of principles, theories and concepts, and proposes a course of action.
