THMY Technologies Sdn Bhd (THMY Tech), formerly known as Testing House Malaysia Sdn Bhd, is principally involved in the provision of automated test solutions for E&E products, with end‑use in various industries. We offer design, development (software), fabrication (hardware), assembly and installation of test fixtures and / or tested platforms. Established in 2008, THMY operates as a manufacturing facility spanning approximately 14,760 sq ft factory in Perai, Pulau Pinang. THMY’s strategic location enables us to deliver valuable services and support to customers across countries, including Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and India.
Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Embedded Software Engineer to join our R&D team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing embedded software for cutting‑edge products and systems. This position requires a deep understanding of embedded systems, real‑time programming, and hardware‑software integration. You’ll collaborate closely with hardware engineers, product designers, and fellow software developers to bring advanced technologies from concept to reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test embedded software for microcontrollers, SoCs, and custom hardware platforms.
- Develop firmware for sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet).
- Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and debug hardware / software interactions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and proof‑of‑concept development.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control (Git).
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards (ISO, IEC, MISRA).
- Support product validation, testing, and troubleshooting in lab and field environments.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in embedded systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Strong proficiency in C / C++ for embedded systems.Familiarity with embedded development tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).Knowledge of microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex‑M, RISC‑V, PIC, STM32).Understanding of digital and analog electronics fundamentals.Ability to read schematics and datasheets and work with hardware prototypes.Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Fresh graduates with the above technical competency are encouraged to apply.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python or scripting for test automation.Knowledge of wireless protocols (BLE, Wi‑Fi, Zigbee).Familiarity with embedded Linux or Yocto‑based systems.Exposure to model‑based design (MATLAB / Simulink).Experience in regulated industries (medical, automotive, aerospace).Seniority level
