Content Specialist

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and manage content for industrial market segments, focusing on semiconductors, electronics, and laser processing applications.

Create and edit technical materials, including white papers, case studies, blog posts, and application notes.

Collaborate with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

Optimize content for digital platforms, including websites, social media, and email campaigns.

Research industry trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to develop impactful content strategies.

Maintain a consistent tone and style that aligns with Coherent's brand and voice.

Support marketing campaigns by developing tailored content for target audiences.

Monitor content performance and use analytics to improve engagement and effectiveness.

Stay updated on developments in industrial markets and integrate insights into content creation.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in content creation or technical writing, preferably in industrial or technical markets.

Skills

Strong understanding of industrial applications such as semiconductors, electronics, and laser processing.

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools.

Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization.

Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.

Working Conditions

This position is onsite / hybrid.

This position requires frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams across different time zones.

Occasional travel may be required to gather insights, attend events, or meet with stakeholders.

Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.

Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job.

Physical Requirements

Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.

Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.

Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.

Safety Requirements All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities. Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently, that risk assessments are performed, that proper training and work instructions are in place, that required PPE is available, and that compliance is monitored.
