Overview

IT Operations Engineer role at Hilti Asia IT Services. The position involves job automation, incident de-escalation, critical IT services monitoring, and other IT Operations activities across SAP and other platforms. Requires teamwork, confidence, integrity, and strategic thinking to manage complex IT environments and drive continuous improvement.

What does the role involve?

  • IT Operations : As part of a team, manage and maintain SAP and other systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. This includes User Administration, Event Management, Incident Management, Request Management, Release Management, Change Management, Major Incident Management, and IT Crisis Management.
  • Stakeholder Management : Act as a spokesperson for the IT Operations team, liaising with various teams to deliver IT operations tasks.
  • Technical Expertise : Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to minimize disruptions to business operations.
  • Project Involvement : Participate in projects as a team member or project manager, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Vendor Management : Oversee external managed services teams and IT product vendors to meet expectations.
  • Solution Ownership : Maintain and enhance solutions to meet business needs and performance standards.

What you need is :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related technical discipline, with CGPA >

    • 3.0

  • At least 3 years of experience in SAP Basis and / or SAP AMS operations, with exposure to non-SAP systems and vendor management
  • High proficiency and practical experience in SAP systems
  • Major incident management experience is a must
  • Job scheduling knowledge is a plus
  • Disaster Recovery knowledge is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with effective stakeholder management
  • On-call availability and ability to lead as well as perform maintenance tasks on weekends (approximately once a month)
