The Public Sector & Government (PSG) team empowers public sector, government and quasi-government organizations to drive transformation and economic growth by leveraging global reach, industry expertise, and emerging technologies. The PSG team supports infrastructure development, policy / regulatory review & formulation, development of industry & technology roadmaps, investment promotion, organizational development, and transformation to benefit citizens while mitigating risks.
This role is based in Malaysia and offers the opportunity to strengthen project delivery capabilities while developing analytical research and contributing to client engagement and commercial activities. You will contribute to a collaborative, high-performing environment and be encouraged to develop your intellectual curiosity and collaboration across the company.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive secondary / desk research across markets, segments, and industries.
- Undertake primary research with key stakeholders to garner project insights.
- Perform basic quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends and insights.
- Synthesize data into clear, actionable analysis.
- Develop high-quality reports in MS Word and presentations in MS PowerPoint with strong visual storytelling.
- Apply generative AI tools effectively, following company guidelines.
- Deliver tasks on time, accurately, and with minimal supervision, even under pressure.
- Communicate fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Collaborate effectively and resolve conflicts constructively when needed.
- Travel domestically and regionally when required.
Required Competencies
A relevant university degree (BA / BS) in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, Public Administration, or Public Policy; a Master’s or PhD is highly regarded.Fresh graduate or up to 12 months’ relevant experience in consulting, advisory, or related fields.Ability to craft coherent narratives based on data and trends in English and Bahasa Malaysia.Foundational understanding of public sector structures, policy impact, regulatory frameworks, industry roadmaps, and governance.Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and the ability to translate research into practical recommendations.Capacity to build and maintain client-aligned relationships.Willingness to present to peers and clients, defend analyses; public speaking experience is an advantage.Team player with a collaborative approach to professional development.Seniority level
