Overview
Develop technical specifications and design requirements for instrument and control systems in various engineering projects. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, as well as client-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
- Participate in project planning and cost estimation and ensure that instrument and control design work is completed within project schedules and budgets.
- Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of the project, and ensure that instrument and control systems are installed and commissioned to meet design specifications.
- Drafts and presents formal technical documents, reports, and testing results to manager for approval.
- Perform troubleshooting and analysis to resolve technical problems.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications, as well as participate in design reviews and HAZOP studies.
- Prepare instrumentation engineering deliverables including specifications, instrument datasheets, instrument index, ITR / FTR, logic diagram, etc.
- Stay up to date with new technologies, methods, and industry standards related to instrument and control systems, and apply this knowledge to improve project design and delivery.
- Execute the project and work together with vendors to deliver the project successfully.
- Perform installation setup, commissioning, and functional tests at the customer site.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and established preventive maintenance schedules.
- On-site troubleshooting, repairing, and ability to determine the source of problems in both hardware and software.
- Provide trainings to customers.
- Keep the project on schedule, on budget, and within specifications.
- Develop costing for assigned tender with resourceful ideas or proposals.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, project stakeholders, and team members, and provide technical advice and solutions to project challenges.
- Handle customer service and support needs fully and timely.
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic) or equivalent.At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Familiar with zone classification and Ex knowledge is an added advantage.Proficient in AutoCAD, and programming (PLC, DCS) is beneficial.PLC knowledge / Instrument knowledge, able to read P&ID, Datasheet, Block Diagram, Wiring Diagram and System Architecture.Must be self-motivated and willing to work under pressure.Self-initiative and independent, willing to learn and willing to work extra hours if required.Willing to travel offshore, outstation and overseas and work at site when required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
