Responsibilities
- Lead the business development of the Malaysia market from the ground up, formulate local market entry and growth strategies.
- Conduct in-depth research on the automotive and industrial coatings sectors, including market structure, competition landscape, and customer demand, to develop strategic market positioning for the company.
- Establish and optimize local distribution systems, sales channels, and end-customer relationships.
- Proactively identify and acquire key customers in the automotive and industrial coatings industries, and build long-term, trust-based client partnerships.
- Understand clients' business needs and pain points, provide tailored solutions, and ensure successful project implementation.
- Maintain existing customer relationships through regular visits and follow-up on after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Malaysia's business environment, regulatory framework, and import processes to ensure full compliance.
- Coordinate closely with headquarters and regional teams to facilitate cross-border collaboration and project execution.
- Build and maintain external networks with local government bodies, industry associations, and business partners to support market expansion.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or above in Marketing, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines; solid professional knowledge preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or sales management within the industrial coatings industry, with strong familiarity with market operations.Proficient in using market analysis tools such as SPSS, advanced Excel data analysis, and other relevant software.Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract valuable insights from data to support strategic decision-making.Able to drive and conduct frequent business visits to clients, and adapt to travel requirements.Excellent business etiquette and client hospitality skills; able to manage professional interactions and business dining situations effectively.Well-versed in local market rules and cultural nuances to facilitate business development.Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to lead discussions and secure business agreements.Proficient in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.Additional Information
