Overview
The candidate will play a key role in providing consulting, programming, including the planning and management of medical and non-medical equipment for healthcare projects. The scope for equipment planning will cover all key project phases of a Design and Build Healthcare Development Project from Concept / Schematic Design, Detailed Design Development, Tendering and Constructions (technical / site coordination for equipment installation, testing & commissioning and final acceptance).
Technical Tasks
- Develop an equipment planning process to identify, analyse and ensure all major & critical medical equipment requirements are well coordinated and complies with the design and function of the health facilities.
- Establish or prepare relevant documentation for the planning of medical and non-medical equipment, such as, room-by-room equipment schedule and total bill of quantity.
- Prepare budgetary cost estimates for equipment as part of the planning documentation.
- Participate in client / user interaction, i.e. Room Data Sheet (RDS) and Room Layout Sheet (RLS), throughout the equipment planning process and updating all documentation and preparing minutes of meeting.
- Liaison with Equipment Suppliers for all technical & commercial information related to the planning, supply & delivery of equipment, including testing & commissioning of equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of generic technical specifications for medical and non-medical equipment for procurement.
- Prepare and oversee submission of documentation to clients for medical and non-medical equipment planning.
- Project planning, control, monitoring of work implemented at the sites involving subcontractors to meet the project’s objectives and deadlines.
- Organize & maintain comprehensive medical equipment central database.
- Review project progress and taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare Professional fees proposal for new potential projects.
- Prepare project budget & update periodic progress claims to VP-Admin & Finance.
- Maintain and establish professional relationship with Clients, Contractors, and Consultants as part of Marketing activities.
- Provide direction and support to team members to ensure effectiveness and efficient working environment.
- Develop in-house or on-the-job training for new staff.
- Use experience and business expertise to promote the growth and expansion of the business.
- Participate in senior management committee meetings and responsible for short- and long-term planning and business initiatives.
General Tasks
Exercise prudent practices to manage, safeguard and protect the businesses and assets of the Company.Employ experience and business expertise to promote the growth and expansion of the business, provide input in the analysis of project opportunities.Maintain professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep abreast with the latest trend in medical technology.Provide support and assistance to the Sr. Principal in all matters as required.Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff and other consultants as required.Work Experience / Technical Knowledge Requirements
At least 5-10 years of experience in the health care industry.Well verse in the functional set-up and clinical workflow / process in a hospital environment.Understand all aspects of the job in the management of medical equipment planning.Good knowledge in hospital setup with basic clinical workflow related knowledge and basic procurement background.Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree holder in Medical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacist or equivalent.Skills
Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office (Microsoft WORD, EXCEL & ACCESS)Good communication and report writing skills.Good organizational and administrative skill is an advantage.Must possess good analytical skills and ability to solving work problems.Must understand all aspects of the job, is able to work independently and yet a team player.Must have good initiatives or creativities and a desire to learn.Ability to interact professionally with healthcare clients, design team members, construction teams and equipment vendors.Sound knowledge of current medical equipment technologySub Specialization : Engineering; Biomedical / Biotechnology
