- Lead laboratory department, contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of the laboratory quality system, and ensure compliance with documented procedures and process in accordance to AS / ISO / Nadcap / Customer Requirement.
- Adhere to all standard practice laboratory safety regulations.
- Oversee the daily operations and ensure the effectiveness of the laboratory.
- Document findings in technical papers and reports, preparing specifications and testing standard.
- Evaluate accuracy and precision of the analytical results.
- Maintain quality system active (AS, ISO & Nadcap) laboratory documents and records.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy to meet turnaround time and that the daily test result is produced accurately and precisely.
- Ensure all analytical equipment, apparatus etc. are appropriately maintained and calibrated as per the required schedule.
- Provide lead direction to the laboratory staff in managing all laboratory functions, including both equipment and personnel.
- Ensure chemist capable of performing all analyses for which the laboratory has certification in an efficient, safe, and accurate manner, from the most complex instrumental analysis to the most basic of analysis.
- Responsible for accurate and complete documentation of all laboratory functions.
- Ensure that all controlled quality procedures, test methods and documents are kept confidential and access to the laboratory always remains restricted.
- Responsible to maintain Wastewater, Scrubber & Schedule waste management system function well and ensure relevant documents and records are updated.
- Ensure periodical testing is correctly carried out and completed within timelines.
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials / biological waste.
- Responsible for the preparation and coordination, if necessary, activities before, during and after audits (i.e. : internal and external) to ensure timely response and implementation of the correction / corrective actions.
- Perform any ad‑hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
1. Chemistry or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in a recognised higher education institute.2. Experience in related industry is an advantage.3. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as well.4. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).5. Great interpersonal and communication skills; able to communicate fluently and effectively with various levels of stakeholders.6.
