Job Description

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with dealers, carpenters, and key industry stakeholders to drive engagement and loyalty.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive networking and cold outreach to expand the client base and open new accounts.
  • Introduce and promote the company's products to both existing and prospective clients, aiming to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations that highlight the unique features and benefits of the company's offerings to stakeholders and potential customers.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments from clients, maintaining healthy cash flow and account management.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with industry associations, trade bodies, and key influencers to boost brand visibility and extend market reach.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including marketing, finance, logistics, and customer service—to ensure seamless sales operations and project execution.
  • Gather market intelligence and client feedback to inform management decisions and support strategic planning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client visits, sample distributions, and interactions using Salesforce CRM for effective tracking and reporting.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a candidate with experience in retail sales for the building materials industry. Ideal candidates should have :

  • Minimum of 2 years\' experience in a similar role within the building materials or surfacing products industry, with a proven track record in specification and sales.
  • Consistent achievement of sales targets and demonstrated ability to drive business growth.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative, capable of working independently and within a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Commercially savvy, with a strategic mindset and strong business acumen.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet clients and support business development efforts.
