Job descriptionInterpret fabrication drawings and templates for custom stone components (e.g. countertops, vanity tops, wall panels). Cut, shape, and polish stone slabs using CNC machines, bridge saws, grinders, and hand tools. Perform edge profiling (e.g. bullnose, bevel, ogee) and surface finishing (honed, leathered, polished). Conduct quality checks for dimensional accuracy, surface integrity, and finish consistency. Repair chips, cracks, or defects using epoxy, resin, or mechanical techniques. Operate lifting equipment (e.g. vacuum lifters, cranes) to handle heavy stone safely. Maintain tools and machinery, ensuring calibration and cleanliness. Collaborate with production supervisors to meet daily output targets and custom order specs. Follow safety protocols including PPE usage, dust control, and equipment lockout procedures. Requirements
- Experience in stone fabrication (granite, marble, quartz, sintered stone, etc.) — 2+ years preferred.
- Proficiency with fabrication tools : bridge saws, polishers, CNC routers, edge profilers.
- Ability to read technical drawings and cut sheets with precision.
- Strong physical stamina — able to lift and maneuver heavy slabs.
- Attention to detail for high-end finishes and tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of material properties (e.g. porosity, hardness, thermal expansion).
- Safety-conscious mindset and familiarity with factory SOPs.
- Trade certification or apprenticeship in stonemasonry or fabrication is a plus.
