Work in partnership with the business by providing constructive challenge and making full contribution to the management of the business and achievement of strategic objectives. Acts as a link between the business and Finance department.
Responsibilities :
- Provide support for strategic planning, budgeting, estimates, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This includes preparing templates, collating information, conducting variance analysis, reviewing results, providing feedback to stakeholders, and preparing budget presentations.
- Drive and deliver period-end closing analysis & reporting, including preparation of manual journal voucher, and providing relevant commentary or explanations for related reports.
- Perform financial analysis on COGS (Cost Of Goods Sold), FOH (Factory Overhead) and Logistics cost to facilitate management in decision making.
- Ensure proper monitoring of inventory and fixed assets. Manage annual empties count, reconciliation, performed periodic reviews of obsolete and propose for write-offs.
- Manage the annual standard costing budget process and monthly rolling forecast of COGS.
- Monitor supply chain cost center expenses to ensure alignment between actuals and forecasts. Collaborate with section heads to identify risks and opportunities.
- Responsible for CAPEX Management by following up end-to-end CAPEX process, including financial justification calculation and post investment reviews.
- Collaboration with non-finance stakeholders to ensure the Finance function is embedded in the business and provide value adding and innovative financial advice for decision making.
- Drive process improvements for supply chain finance by implementing best practices to improve work efficiency, data accuracy and cost effectiveness.
- Take responsibility for ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with other internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors during audits and assist to ensure compliance on Control Framework over Financial Reporting.

A university degree / professional qualification in Accounting or FinanceMembership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or any other recognised professional body in MalaysiaAt least 4 to 6 years controlling experience in a progressively growing capacityFluent in written and spoken EnglishCredibility to lead and challenge the businessUnderstanding of the regulations and reporting requirements of a public listed companyGood understanding and knowledge of SAPProficient in spreadsheet designs for analysisExcellent communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly.Able to lead projects and motivate people & cross functional teamsStrong networking and communication skills with all levels across departmentsHigh discretion, integrity, and strong problem-solving abilitiesDetail-oriented with strong analytical skills
