- STAR as the Strategic Innovation Engine of Singapore by translating our intellectual properties to commercial solutions through industry research collaborations, licensing and spin-off efforts to drive economic and social outcomes for Singapore.
Responsibilities :
Leverage strong domain and industry knowledge to understand companies aspirations and challenges and thereby design and execute differentiated strategies to foster R&D partnerships and drive commercialization strategies.Work closely with relevant industry partners to adopt technology portfolios and research capabilities through licensing, collaboration and facilitating creation of spinoff companies.Leverage an ecosystem of industry partners, start-ups, academia, public agencies and industry associations to fuel the growth of the R&D and industry landscape in Singapore.Manage and support the development and protection of intellectual property. Establish business strategies and identify potential markets when assessing competitive technologies to be commercialized.Work with BTI"s scientists and I&E to build and strengthen technology assets and IP portfolio for commercial proliferation in the biomanufacturing sector.To engage with industry and develop key accounts whilst generating licensing pipeline to successfully tech transfer ASTAR's technologies.Work closely with colleagues within Innovation & Enterprise Division e.g. Intellectual Property Management, Venture Creation and across ASTAR to achieve impactful outcomesAssist junior team members on account management and research collaboration / licensing deals structuring, monitoring and costing.Strong in contractual terms and apply them during negotiations with industry collaborations and internal stakeholders.Lead industry collaboration discussions during meetings.Anchor success stories narratives.Requirements :
8-10 years of relevant working experience, preferably with a background in PharmBio ) industry.Good interpersonal skills to engage and partner diverse internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Good listener with keen eye for industry's needs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to think ahead to plan and execute with team.The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
