Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction or renovation industry.
- Proficiency in Mandarin language, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate cost estimations, budgeting, and cost control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with quantity surveying software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for interior design and renovation projects, considering materials, labor, and other expenses.Manage project budgets effectively, tracking expenditures and identifying potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural and design drawings to determine the quantities of materials required for each project.Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and pricing schedules, ensuring compliance with client requirements.Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms for materials and services.Administer contracts, including reviewing payment applications, processing variations, and resolving contractual disputes in accordance with project requirements.Provide regular progress reports to project managers and clients, highlighting cost performance, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement, communicating effectively in Mandarin when necessary.Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and payments, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.Utilize construction knowledge and quantity surveying principles to provide value engineering solutions and cost-saving recommendations to clients and project teams.Communicate effectively in Mandarin with Mandarin-speaking suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear understanding and alignment on project requirements and expectations.Benefits
