Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Overall accountable and responsible for delivery of testing services one or more applications and / or projectsunder Bank's domain such as Digital, Enterprise, Core Banking & Wealth, Cards etc.
  • Work with TCOE engineering and Governance team to review the NFT process and guidelines aligned to SDMprocess time to time
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day delivery of performance test services by Bank appointed vendors in theconduct of testing
  • Works with the testing service providers and other UOB stakeholders to review, provide feedback and sign off onthe test strategy, test plans and other test service providers' artefacts for the testing service delivery.
  • Coordinates with the Test Governance team to ensure adoption of testing methods, standards and tools, and tocoordinate any health checks or audits.
  • Engages with various UOB stakeholders (including but not limited to, application, security, infrastructure,business), testing service providers to ensure testing services meet the banks' objectives and demand.
  • Quantify, manage, track and report test related statuses, SLA and KPIs, and ensure that defined testingtransformation SLA and KPI targets are met for the portfolio accountable.
  • Drive and collaborate with all UOB stakeholders and test service providers to plan all testing related deliveriesfor the portfolio accountable.
  • Participate and contribute in forums, as required, to drive testing transformation and innovation.
  • Foster a highly collaborative and highly engaged work environment works closely with the Test Engineering Leadto provide inputs around domain specific test engineering requirements and ensure that they are met.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the Vendor Test Managers / Test Leads for therespective domains.
  • Engages stakeholder communities to get their feedback on testing service delivery and identify improvementopportunities to be fed back to the Test CoE team.
  • Drives costs out of the system by leveraging automation, process efficiency and tools optimization techniques.
  • Emphasize the creation, active management, and reporting of departmental performance metrics.
  • Supports strategy to best leverage people resources
  • Develop and maintain the communication plan and roadmap for the TCoE and quality engineering capability maturity.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in computer engineering or related field.
  • Proven working experience in test delivery or equivalent role with at least 15 to 20 years relevant experience inlarge and complex organisations preferably in the area of Banking and Finance and at least 5 years' seniormanager experience in perform testing.
  • Manage Overall Performance testing end to end across UOB domain such as Digital, Enterprise, Core Banking &Wealth, Cards etc.
  • Work with TCOE engineering and Governance team to review the testing process and guidelines aligned to SDMprocess time to time
  • Expertise in working in complex environment with integration multiple downstream and MQ's includingmainframe, core banking and as400 systems
  • Comfortability with performance data and reporting – (what to pull, what data to monitor and how to report onit)
  • Document software defects, using JIRA and report defects to software developers
  • Cultivate, support, and promote an organizational culture that provides for high performance, high morale,integrity, and teamwork
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge of technologies used in building scalable, distributed systems in service virtualization
  • Proficient with cloud-like environments and respective performance trade-offs.
  • Expertise within forecasting, requirement gathering, delivery execution, timeline creation, etc.
  • Comfortable working with individuals / teams on a global scale
  • Experience in performance testing using multiple protocols (must)| HTTP / HTTPS, RTE, web services (REST,SOAP, JSON)
  • Analyze scalability, throughput and load testing metrics against test servers.
  • Measure, report, and recommend performance Response Time Guidelines / SLAs.
  • Experience building Performance Benchmarks and workloads, performance analysis.
  • Proven experience in testing standards, tools, processes & methodologies, frameworks, and various deliverymethodologies e.g. Agile, Hybrid Agile and Waterfall, DevOps.
  • Demonstrated success in developing highly effective working relationships with internal and externalstakeholders to deliver collaboration, partnerships and services.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern DevOps practices related to software build, test and deploy processes.
  • Experience managing headcount, including recruiting and retention
  • Proven leadership in people management, mentoring and helping career growth of engineers, creating leadsacross teams and empowering team with constantly raising the bar
  • Strong attention to details, excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple external testing service providers.
  • Experience in managing multi-cultural, diverse, direct and virtual teams.
  • Experience in various testing tool suites like JIRA, Confluence, Tosca, Selenium, Loadrunner / PerformanceCenter / Sitescope, HP ALM / Quality Center etc.
  • Must display a high level of professional judgment, commitment, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Excellent client facing, internal communications, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Testing or quality certifications, PMP certifications, and Test Maturity Model integration (TMMi) Frameworkawareness will be preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Center of Excellence organizations with significant change programs.
  • Experience with working in multi-sourced, offshore delivery centers, and shared services environment.
