Job descriptionA Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Science, Building, QS or Engineering or an industry recognised certificate / qualification in Quantity Surveying. To possess Glodon Certification for TRB & TAS. Well verse in Excel, Glodon TRB & TAS. Minimum 3 years working experience in Main Contractor firm doing Building projects. Minimum 3 projects in utilising full function of Glodon TRB & TAS, for example excavation work.
(A) Essential Job Functions
The QS is responsible, but not limited to, the following :
- Able to perform accurate quantities taking off digitally using Glodon (i.e., TRB and TAS) as the primary software and other secondary software, such as BIM, PDF, etc.
- Prepare and set calculation rules for Glodon TRB and Glodon TAS.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities
- Compilation of quantities into required Bill of Quantities format.
- Able to read and understand the drawings and specifications including raising of clarification / qualification on discrepancies found.
- To perform duties outside normal working hours and outside their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed to meet tender submission deadlines.
- Able to perform Post Contract Administration duties will be an advantage.
