Critical Facilities Manager ( Data Center in Petaling Jaya ) – CBRE Asia Pacific
This role is based at a data center in Petaling Jaya and focuses on managing and developing the on-site Data Centre Critical Environment Operations team in a 24 / 7 / 365 operating environment, delivering contracted services with emphasis on uptime, quality, health and safety, and financial performance. The role involves building a professional client relationship to create a positive customer experience and achieving performance levels that meet or exceed KPI and SLA requirements.
Responsibilities
- To manage, motivate and develop the on-site Data Centre Critical Environment Operations team in a business critical 24 / 7 / 365 operating environment
- To successfully deliver contracted services to the client on the agreed site(s), ensuring performance from an uptime, quality, health and safety and financial perspective
- To manage and develop a professional relationship with the client locally to create a positive customer experience
- To deliver a performance level which achieves and goes beyond the KPI’s and SLA’s set down in the contract with the client
- Provide leadership, and ensure contractual commitments are met and exceeded
- Ensure opportunities for strategic development of the contract are explored to deliver increased turnover and profitability, secure additional services and projects, and re-win contracts on re-tender
- Manage OPEX & CAPEX budget for site and support in contract variation processes
- Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that health and safety policies and processes are implemented across teams and subcontractors
- Ensure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams and that succession planning is in place
- Ensure appropriate control systems are in place to meet statutory, policy and contractual commitments
- Maintain a customer focus across operational activities and sustain effective relationships with key client contacts
- Provide leadership, guidance, coaching and support to deliver best practice in training, assessment and recognition
- Deliver effective business communication through management meetings, reporting and related publications
- Support development and formalization of site operating procedures and regular reviews of site operations
- Identify site improvements and process enhancements
- Be available for 24 / 7 on-call to manage rectification of issues and emergencies
- Attend and perform critical switching and isolation of services as required, including outside normal working hours
- Ensure shift coverage to provide full site coverage
- Mentor direct reports to deliver superior performance and provide ongoing training
- Review of Preventative and Reactive Works programs & schedules
- Ensure staff training to respond to critical situations and maintain training records
- Adhere to preventative maintenance, lifecycle, asset management programs and related reporting
- Apply Reporting, Escalation and Change Management procedures
- Prepare risk assessments, work plans and procedures to mitigate disruption during maintenance or upgrades
- Model CBRE culture and hold others accountable for standards
- Comply with CBRE health and safety obligations and applicable CBRE processes
- Work safely and ensure compliance with statutory regulations and standards
- Maintain 100% adherence to agreed SLA’s and KPI’s; ensure subcontractors perform within agreed scopes and report regularly
