Overview
The role will be responsible for handling the Project Delivery for the Cards and Payment domain. This includes developing project plans, defining project scope, and tracking and monitoring projects from inception to closure while adhering to group standards and controls for successful delivery. The candidate will identify and manage risks, including developing contingency plans to mitigate potential issues. Knowledge of card issuing and transaction acquiring processing and standards is required, along with ISO8583 messaging standard protocols. The role involves developing solutions, stakeholder management, vendor and financial management, developing project costs, and delivering developed solutions. Hands-on experience with VISA, MasterCard, UPI and other national card schemes issuing & acquiring, and scheme compliance requirements is preferred. Desirable knowledge includes national schemes and processor integrations, APIs (SOAP, JSON, REST, etc.), Web Service Integration, Back Office integration, and HSM protocols and configuration. Familiarity with encryption keys / cryptography (symmetric and asymmetric keys; 3DES, AES, SM4, SHA), EMV technologies and standards, PCI DSS and PA DSS, contact and contactless technologies, 3DS and tokenization standards, EFT transaction switching or online banking environments, and automated test tools and simulators. Experience with Google Pay / Samsung Pay / Apple Pay Wallets and QR Code and emerging payments is an added advantage. Strong design and programming knowledge in CICS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, MVS. Knowledge of end-to-end SDLCs (waterfall, Agile and other modern approaches). Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences at various levels. Ability to share relevant technical / industry knowledge, strong problem-solving, time management, and collaborative skills. Banking or financial services experience and experience in Cloud and Digital transformation projects are advantageous. Knowledge of open banking is a plus. Ability to review requirements, perform impact / gap analysis, high-level design, cost estimation, propose timelines, obtain project approval, and draft solution architecture / technical specifications. Coordinate stakeholder management, vendor relations, and financial aspects of projects. Ensure compliance with card issuing / acquiring standards, scheme requirements, and relevant security standards (PCI DSS / PA DSS). Interface with APIs, Web Services, and back-office integrations; oversee system integrations and data flows. Support EMV, 3DS, tokenization, encryption, and HSM-related configurations and protocols. Lead end-to-end SDLC activities (waterfall, Agile, and other modern methods) and ensure quality through testing tools and simulators. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Provide domain and technical leadership, and contribute to architecture, design, and documentation. Qualifications
B.Tech / BE or MBA in Computer Science / Information Systems or related IT field; 8–12 years of experience. Knowledge of Card Issuance / Management, Digital Channels interface, Encryption, HSM, and ISO8583 standards. Familiarity with EMV (Contact / Contactless), VISA / MasterCard Issuing & Acquiring, and scheme compliance requirements. Experience with PCI DSS and PA DSS compliance requirements. Experience in switch integration with VISA / Mastercard; familiarity with UPI, JCB, and national switches. Experience with Google Pay / Samsung Pay / Apple Pay Wallets and QR code-based payments; emerging payments experience is advantageous. Experience in Web Services integration and APIs; understanding of SDLCs (waterfall, Agile). Strong ability to prepare Solution Architecture documents, functional and technical specifications.
