Position Summary
- Responsible for new tooling, modification, upgrade, refurbishment and repair of moulds / tooling
- Support validation process for mould qualification such as FAT, IQ, QQ and PQ, providing technical support in mould qualification processes
- Analyse manufacturing / assembly data and provide / suggest improvement
- Interact with customer (production), suppliers, and internal supporting department to ensure moulded parts are ready for validation process
- Establish parameters with supplier(s) for an optimal moulding environment and ensure the drawing specifications are met
- Analyse quality control and correct flaws where necessary in moulding processes
- Analyse DFM data, mould‑flow, finite element analysis, material, stress / fatigue analysis on plastics components
- Provide technical expertise in design of hot / cold runner system
- Prepare URS defining the material, processes and design requirements
- Provide root cause analysis of plastic injection parts and follow‑up with supplier on corrective actions
- Review all mould designs to ensure DFM criteria are met prior to mould design finalization
- Release all drawings to TFX Mould CAD system upon finalisation
Education / Experience Requirements
Qualification : Degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Experience : 5+ years of experience in tooling design and process knowledge.Extended education and experience in related fields such as CAE or process simulations is highly preferred.Knowledge of Microsoft Office and presentation skills.Experience in tooling design, fabrication, development and validation.Familiarity with ISO 13485 requirements.Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail and structured problem‑solving approach.Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
