Overview

Oversee daily production to ensure smooth, efficient operations that meet quality and output targets. Lead and guide the production team to follow company procedures and maintain high safety standards. Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to support production goals. Drive product quality and reduce waste through effective process control. Ensure machines and tools are well-maintained and production areas are clean and organized. Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions. Identify gaps, improve processes and implement ideas to boost efficiency and productivity. Train and coach employees on safe work practices and production procedures. Support team development through training and performance guidance. Collaborate with Maintenance, Logistics, and other departments to ensure efficient production flow and timely resolution of issues affecting delivery.

Requirements & Skills

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in production planning, quality control, and operating manufacturing machinery and tools.
  • Proven ability to supervise, motivate and guide a team of operators in daily production activities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact across all levels of the organization.
  • Committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized workplace, leading by example.
  • Possess basic investigation skills in handling non-conformance product issues.
  • Strong work ethics and problem-solving abilities.

Education, Experience & Technical Skills

  • Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
  • Basic computer literacy, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) at a basic to intermediate level.
  • Experience with SAP or similar production management systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality Management System and 5S practices in production.
