Job description

Requirements

Experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably as an Accounts Executive or similar position.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Professional certification will be an added advantage.
Required language(s) : Mandarin, English.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and supporting schedules. Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring consistency and accuracy, payroll and EPF Perkeso contribution.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct periodic financial analysis and variance reporting to support management decision-making. Generate accurate and timely financial reports for management and stakeholders.

Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor and analyse actual financial performance against budgets and provide insights to management. Assist in financial planning and forecasting exercises to support strategic decision-making.

Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records. Support cost analysis initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.

Collaborate with department heads, and management, to gather financial data and provide financial support. Communicate effectively with external parties, including auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance and resolve financial queries.
