Job description

This role is a professional accounting position requiring knowledge of handling a variety of financial functions that support company operations in ASIA, NOAM, EMEAI or LATAM Region under a good system of internal controls. Financial functions include, but are not limited to Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset, General Accounting and Financial Analysis. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Proactively seek opportunities to improve accounting / business processes and leverage standard functionality. Sr. Analysts also perform some leadership activities within their teams, as well as serve as initial point of escalation for issues related to both internal and external customers.

An appropriate accounting degree and more than 3.5 years related-work experience are required. Proficiency in Chinese language (both read & write) is an added advantage. The incumbent must obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of various financial modules of Oracle and related software. A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good analytical skills are also required.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate completion of record to report general accounting activities, including processing journal entries, preparation and calculation of accruals, prepayments, adjustments for APAC or NOAM or EMEAI Region via Oracle system (R12 & Cloud version).
  • To complete quality monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations on time and in compliance with group accounting and reconciliation policy via One Stream system.
  • To ensure proper supporting and documentation comply with SOX and internal / external audit requirement.
  • To address all GL-related queries from every stakeholder timely. Support, follow-up and escalation of identified issues.
  • To proactively analyze and ensure the accounting transactions are reasonable and prepare documentation for internal auditor or management.
  • To work closely with superiors in process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • To develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and foreign finance subsidiaries when resolving issues.
  • Ensure an understanding of what makes up the balances to ensure reconciliations are correct.
  • Meet targets and KPI and ensure service model delivery is in line with the SLA.
  • Working with the finance network and the business to resolve any mispostings
  • Support both internal and external audits, attending to audit queries and information requests.
  • Working with different time zones and different holiday schedules.
  • Other additional task as assigned by the manager.

  • Proficiency in Chinese language (both read & write) is an added advantage
