YOUR ROLE

STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to engage a Technician within its Quality Department. The main role of the job holder shall be to perform reliability testing. The technician shall be working on DDRO (Day / Day / Rest / Off) working pattern.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Oversee and execute real‑time reliability testing processes on products as defined by the Material Review Board or as required for product qualifications.
• Identifying defects in products which have undergone reliability flows.
• Performing technical interventions on assigned equipment and participating in scheduled maintenance on all reliability equipment.
• Maintaining the equipment used for reliability in optimum conditions.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers for troubleshooting and repair of faulty machinery to ensure timely resolution.
• Work closely with the Quality Division regarding real‑time testing and coordinate with Plant Facilities for infrastructure‑related matters.
• Conduct calibration and installation activities for reliability testing equipment as required, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Perform technical interventions, routine and preventive maintenance on reliability test equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for management on equipment interventions and follow‑up actions.
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation and enter data into the ARelis system, ensuring traceability and data integrity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Promote and enforce safe usage of equipment among all personnel.
