Project : PROPOSED EXPANSION OF SAPANGAR BAY CONTAINER PORT ON , , & AT JALAN SAPANGAR KOTA KINABALU SABAH

Location : SAPANGAR BAY CONTAINER PORT, KOTA KINABALU, SABAH

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• In charge of overall day-to-day construction activities on site including the marine reclamation, marine construction and subsequent civil works.
• Ensure commitments as to complete the project on time and within the budgeted cost.
• Preparation of Master Works Programme and other works schedule as well as resource planning during the contract period.
• To manage cash flow of the project, including collection, and capital injection if required.
• To oversee sub-contractor's claims and main contractor's claims to the employer, to ensure balanced cash flow.
• Liaison with authorities, client / consultants and sub-contractors for smooth and well -planned implementation of the project.
• Organize the project team and assign responsibilities to down-line supporting personnel for the performance of work and various work activities.
• Utilise and mobilize the required services of engineering personnel, procurement, construction plant, computer service, etc, for the project execution.
• Monitor and coordinate the engineering and procurement activities. Conduct technical and contractual reviews to ensure that the work is being executed in accordance with contractual requirement and the targeted completion of project is met.
• Initiate necessary remedial actions to maintain the project to progress on schedule.
• Negotiate and settle all contractual changes.
• Conduct sub-contractor meeting, site safety meeting and attend consultant / client meeting.
• Ensure quality of work is up to specified requirements.
• Monitor closely the sub-contractor's resources (manpower, materials, machinery and equipment) to ensure optimum distribution of work.
• Organise periodic meetings with sub-contractor and among the site personnel on work progress, technical matter, construction methos etc.
• Create a safer an clean working environment through adherence to requirements of statutory agencies.
• Other tasks as assigned by Superior.
