Job description

Overview

Direct and supervise functional area in month end close processing for the Plant. This includes preparation of periodic reports, forecasts and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze and interpret financial and budgetary reports to influence management decisions consistent with company objectives. Provide recommendations and opportunities for process improvements, reducing operating costs and improving financial performance. Supervise Quarterly Material Target Cost roll-up and bi‑annually Labor and Overhead Cost roll-up.
  • Monitor programs that control the corporation's financial risk, including implementation of programs or initiatives established by the Divisional Controller and Tax & Treasury Manager.
  • Involved in activities that drive plant compliance including maintenance of reviews, supporting data and analysis for internal and external audits and local statutory requirements.
  • Oversees the maintenance of financial and cost accounting systems.
  • Ability to handle and deliver multi‑tasks within tight deadlines and able to work beyond office hours to support month‑end closing.
  • Support ad‑hoc assignments / projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree / Professional Qualification in Costing / Accounting.
  • At least 7 to 10 years of relevant working experience in FP&A and Cost Accounting related field with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Preferably experience in EMS semi‑conductor manufacturing industry.
  • Familiar with US / Local Accounting Standards, Government Legislation / Requirement, Knowledge of ERP system i.e. Oracle will be an added advantage.
  • Good analytical skills, proficiency in using spreadsheets to extract, compile, analyze and interpret data, meticulous and detail oriented.
  • Good communication skills. Able to interact and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Approval Matrix on SanminaNet (Libraries - Procedures or Forms) for required signatures / approvals.
