Business Development Manager

Our client is a well-established tech company in China and they are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales of intelligent computing services in the Asia-Pacific market, with a strong focus on Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively generate new business by connecting with government and enterprise clients in Malaysia to sell intelligent computing services such as AI training and data processing. You’ll lead negotiations, finalize deals, and manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing.
  • Support and coordinate with business units in Thailand, Indonesia, and other regional markets to develop new opportunities and share best practices.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from sales to project launch by coordinating with internal technical and delivery teams. You will also maintain long-term client relationships to secure repeat business, gather market intelligence, and provide feedback to the team.
  • Formulate regional growth strategies, mentor junior staff, and take the lead in high-stakes negotiations and strategic partnerships.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years in business development, with a minimum of 1 year in the intelligent computing, cloud computing, or AI sector. A track record of successful deal closures is essential.
  • Familiarity with the intelligent computing and B2B technology landscape is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the market, policies, and industry trends in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Malaysia.
  • Fluent in English for business communication and negotiations. Fluency in Malay is highly preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as marketing, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Highly proactive, results-oriented, and willing to travel frequently for business.
