Finance Assistant Manager / Finance Manager

The Finance Assistant Manager / Manager will support the Head of Finance in leading financial reporting, operations, and compliance functions. The role requires not only strong technical capabilities but also a proactive, responsible and positive attitude. The ideal candidate demonstrates high integrity, takes ownership of tasks, and works collaboratively across functions to support business goals. Key Responsibilities : - Financial Reporting and Compliance -Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS / IFRS. -Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory tax filings and regulatory reports. -Uphold high standards of financial integrity, accuracy, and documentation. Month-End Closing and Controls -Manage closing activities with attention to detail and accountability for deadlines. -Perform and review account reconciliations, and ensure compliance with internal controls. -Continuously seek opportunities to enhance process efficiency and control. Budgeting and Forecasting -Assist in preparing the company’s annual budget and rolling forecasts. -Deliver clear and actionable financial analysis to support informed business decisions. Audit, Tax and Treasury Support -Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities for audits and reviews. -Support treasury operations including cash flow monitoring and bank relationship matters. Team Collaboration and Attitude -Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all finance activities. -Maintain a can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback. -Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, humility, and a collaborative spirit when engaging with peers, subordinates, and cross-functional teams. -Actively support the Head of Finance in fostering a positive, performance-oriented finance culture. Qualifications and Requirements : - Education and Certification -Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. -Partial or full professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW) is preferred. Experience -4–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, or audit. -Industry experience in retail, consumer financing, or manufacturing is advantageous but is not mandatory. -Candidates from audit firms (Big 4 or mid-tier) transitioning into commercial roles are encouraged to apply. Skills and Competencies -Good understanding of MFRS / IFRS, tax, and internal control principles. -Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. -High level of personal discipline, time management, and integrity. -Effective communicator with a growth mindset and a strong sense of teamwork. -Proficient in Excel; knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) is a plus.
