Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Equipment Engineer to support in-house equipment projects , including new machine setups, modifications, and mechanical upgrades as part of facility development initiatives. This role involves on-site project execution, layout coordination, and progressive involvement in mechanical design. The position supports cross-functional work with Production, EHS, Maintenance, and Vendors, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient equipment integration into our operations.
Key responsibilities include :
- Plan and execute equipment installation, alignment, and utility interfacing.
- Modify existing layouts or mechanical components based on production needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Production, EHS, Maintenance, Procurement) and external vendors.
- Review or prepare drawings for installation, brackets, guards, or minor equipment parts.
- Ensure compliance with NOV HSE safety standards during project execution.
- Manage punch list, site readiness, and trial support during commissioning.
- Compile technical documentation for as-built layouts, drawings, and CMMS registration.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.3-5 years in equipment setup, mechanical project coordination, or industrial machinery installation.Exposure to in-house modification or layout-based projects is an advantage.Equipment installation & layout planning.Basic mechanical design using AutoCAD and / or SolidWorks.Site coordination and troubleshooting under live production constraints.Cross-functional communication with operations, vendors, and contractors.Knowledge of mechanical safety practicesStrong attention to detail, hands-on mindset, and eagerness to grow into machinery design.Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage)
