Your Role
As an Attendant, Public Area (Housekeeping), you will be responsible for ensuring that all guest-facing and common areas are impeccably clean, hygienic, and well-presented at all times. You will play a vital part in upholding the high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and ambience that make REN a welcoming and serene environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning & Sanitation – Clean and maintain all public spaces including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, lounges, spa waiting areas, restaurants, elevators, staircases, and outdoor walkways. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors, carpets, rugs, furniture, and decorative fixtures. Wash and sanitize restroom fixtures, mirrors, sinks, and counters to maintain freshness. Refill and tidy amenities in public restrooms such as hand soap, tissue, toilet paper, and air fresheners. Clean glass doors, windows, and mirrors to maintain a spotless appearance. Remove rubbish and recyclables, replacing liners, and ensure proper waste segregation and disposal. Disinfect high-touch points such as door handles, lift buttons, handrails, and reception counters multiple times daily. Spot-clean walls, ceilings, and surfaces to remove marks, stains, or spills promptly. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, or carpet shampoo machines safely. Ensure all cleaning is performed according to established hygiene, safety, and chemical-handling guidelines.
- Supply & Stock Management – Monitor and replenish toiletries, sanitizers, and other supplies in public restrooms and other areas. Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are stored properly and maintained in good working order. Track inventory levels of cleaning supplies and request replenishment before stock runs low. Handle cleaning chemicals safely, following proper usage and storage guidelines.
- Maintenance Support – Identify and report maintenance issues such as broken fixtures, lighting problems, or safety hazards to the supervisor. Assist in minor tasks such as replacing light bulbs or moving furniture for cleaning purposes.
- Guest Service & Special Events – Greet guests politely when in public areas and respond courteously to simple requests. Assist with setup and cleanup for events or special activities when required.
Requirements
Education : Minimum Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.Experience : Minimum 1-2 years of housekeeping, cleaning, or janitorial experience, preferably in hospitality or wellness environments. Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning chemicals, operating cleaning machinery, and adhering to health and safety standards.Skills : Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Basic communication skills for simple guest interactions and team coordination.Others : Physically fit and able to perform cleaning tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
