Job Scope & Responsibilities

Data Collection & Management

Design, implement & maintain ETL process

Optimize data warehouse schemas, query performance to ensure efficient data access & analytical process

Advanced Feature Engineering

Collaborate with users to understand domain knowledge / mechanics

Translate the knowledge into quantifiable, predictive features

Develop complex SQL queries to create high impact features for machine learning models, including lagged features & rolling aggregates

Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)

Conduct in-depth statistical analysis & exploratory data visualization to identify hidden patterns, trends, correlations & anomalies within data.

Analyse the distribution of target variable to inform the selection & refinement of statistical modelling

Assist in the rigorous evaluation of model performance using relevant metrics. For e.g. RMSE, MAE, etc.

Perform detailed residual analysis to understand prediction errors and identify systemic biases or areas for model improvement

Collaborate with team to interpret model outputs & translate complex analytical finding into clear, actionable recommendations for refinement

Reporting & Automation

Develop & maintain automated reports & dashboards to monitor key performance indicators, track model accuracy & visualize critical data trends

Proactively identify opportunities for new data sources, analytical methods and model enhancement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.

2+ years as a Data Scientist / Analyst with strong hands‑on experience in data extraction, cleaning, transformation and feature engineering

Strong understanding of statistical concepts and their application in data analysis

Proficiency in programming languages like SQL, R, and Python

Proficiency in data visualisation software e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio

Good written and spoken English language

A deep passion for and strong understanding in MOBA mechanics

Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Experience in BigQuery, Dataflow and BigQueryML is a bonus

Familiarity with MOBA games - Dota 2 is required
