Overview

Simplified Chinese to English Translator - Remote Sensing. This is a freelance opportunity with CACTUS / Editage to help researchers publish academic manuscripts.

Responsibilities and qualifications below reflect the role as described in the original posting.

Responsibilities

Translate academic manuscripts from Simplified Chinese to native English or from English to Simplified Chinese, focusing on remote sensing and related fields.
Combine language skills with subject-area expertise to ensure accuracy and clarity for publication in prestigious journals.
Work on manuscripts in various languages, with emphasis on technical translation in your field.

Qualifications

A degree in Translation or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training from a recognized institution.

A graduate (or higher) degree in any other field from a recognized institution plus two years of comprehensive professional experience in translation.

Five years of comprehensive professional experience in translation.
