Data Scientist – Permanent, full-time position (Kuala Lumpur)

We are seeking a highly motivated Data / AI Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analysing complex databases, designing and implementing data models, and utilizing AI and machine learning algorithms to extract valuable insights from data. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience with both database management and artificial intelligence technologies.

Responsibilities :

• Data Analysis & Modeling :

Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources (e.g., drilling logs, production data, sensor feeds).

Design advanced ML algorithms for reservoir characterization, production optimization, anomaly detection, and other oil and gas applications.

Work closely with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure data-driven insights are actionable.

Develop and maintain production-ready code for ML solutions.

Qualifications and Skills :

Programming : Expert-level Python skills (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
