Job Description

• Design and build application solutions on the designated platform using Java, REST-based microservices, and Kubernetes.
• Develop Java Spring Boot applications with Oracle and MongoDB databases as back-end systems.
• Adhere to development standards and best practices to ensure high-quality delivery, including code reviews, static code analysis, and maintaining strong unit test coverage.
• Conduct performance testing and analysis to verify application stability and efficiency under different workload conditions.
• Prepare technical documentation, provide training, and share knowledge with team members.
• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team.
• Participate in Level 3 production support duties alongside other team members.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Java Developer should have :

• Proficient in building Java applications with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks (min.4 years of hands-on experience), leveraging Oracle as the backend database.
• Skilled in developing cloud-based microservices.
• Experienced in profiling and optimizing Java and Oracle applications for high performance and scalability.
• Solid understanding of the technology and / or financial services sectors.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Capable of identifying and addressing stakeholder and project communication needs.
• Results-driven and deadline-oriented, able to consistently maintain high-quality standards while managing multiple tasks and timelines.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI / CD pipeline implementation.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes deployments.
• Knowledge of implementing persistent storage solutions with MongoDB.
