Responsibilities
- Ensure availability, maintenance, utilization of storage capacity and improvement of infrastructure and resources for Store & Shipping sections.
- Responsible for application of LMW, MJEPA, GPB, Exemption Lists, BOMBA, MBPP, renewal of licenses and submission of custom reports. (ATIGA, Bon Am, Custom Form Declaration - K1, K2, K9 etc.).
- Attend to solve matters with practical solutions related to transportation, forwarding, operational challenges and customs. E.g., customs audit.
- Coordinate with shipping agent for customs clearance processes.
- Stay abreast with latest import / export / custom rules and regulations.
- Involve in exploration and development of service providers for transportation, haulage and forwarding of new customer or new routing.
- Monitor current service providers performance to ensure they meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Perform annual transport and courier service cost comparison exercise for cost saving opportunity.
- Accountable for inventory accuracy, such as, transaction, disposition, maintenance, tracebility and security.
- Plan, coordinate cycle count and stock reconciliation.
- In-charge of logistics record and document retention and maintenance.
- Ensure raw material are released on time to production floor and goods are shipped out on time to customers.
- Create and maintain job description of department staffs.
- Plan, arrange and control essential overtime work when necessary for subordinates.
- Ensure that goods rejected are returned with proper outgoing document to avoid payment of rejected goods returned.
- Identify opportunity for improvement, get approval and implement accordingly.
- Guide subordinates in proper data entry into the SQL Software system.
- Any other ad hoc responsibilities which may be assigned form time to time by Superior
- Responsible for the efficient warehouse operations through the implementation of proper operating systems and procedures.
- Responsible for the storage and safekeeping of all goods in the warehouse by taking a proactive approach in initiating protective and preventive measures.
- Monitor and report inventory status, drive aged / obsolete inventory to the minimum.
- Ensure all scrap material is disposed in appropriate manner and converting valued scrap into revenue.
- Conduct periodic internal audits and support all external audits.
- To coordinate 5S with a team and maintain a good discipline of workforce in adhering the requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications :
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advance / Higher / Graduate Diploma / Logistic / Transportation or equivalent.At least 5 years related working experience in fast pace contract manufacturing environment, in the related field is required for this position. Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Purchasing / Inventory / Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.Strong command of English and local dialects is essential. Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin will be considered an added advantage.Unlock job insights
