Assistant Buyer / Buyer

Overview

To be in charge in generating all types of merchandising reports, to analyse and to present to team. To liaise with operations team on brand knowledge, product information, customer feedback, etc. Work closely with store supervisors on stock consolidation & transfers. In charge of all incoming shipment handlings, to work on closely with a / c dept. to avoid over / under stock situation. Review and analyses sales performance, end season product review based on customer and sales team feedback. Weekly sales planning meeting and weekly store visit to check on trading pattern, best / slow sellers. Collection launch briefing to sales and operation, marketing team. Market survey on competitors\' product & pricing. In charge of coming up with effective promotions. Analyzing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends. Sourcing new merchandise and review existing ones to ensure products remain competitive. Able to maximize profits and provide a commercially viable range of merchandise at competitive prices. Regularly reviewing performance indicators, e.g. sales & discount levels. Liaising with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Textile / Fashion Design or equivalent. Required language(s) : Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin / Cantonese to effectively communicate with Mandarin / Cantonese-speaking clients. Good excel skillset : pivot table, vlookup, hlookup and etc. At least 1-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Result oriented with high degree of initiatives & drive. Numerate & analytical. Business sense. Applicants must be willing to work in Sunway Damansara Tech Park, near The Curve. Applicant in Retail Fashion Industry preferred.
